Jesus touches your heart
A
religious vocation to our hidden life is a very special gift from God Himself.Sometimes, He places His Hand upon our life and with one touch overthrows all our plans and dreams. For in that brief moment a miraculous exchange takes over and the soul so touched becomes aware, yes physically aware in her heart, that God has chosen her among thousands to serve Him, love Him, adore Him and remain faithful to Him all the days of her life.
For each Sister of the Precious Blood this is a daily reality and only grows with time and experience, the key is full acceptance of God's Holy Will in her life as manifested by her Superior and her Community.
Venerable Mother Catherine Aurelia, foundress of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, would say that "a vocation to our way of life is a very delicate thing. It is an intimate affair between Christ and the soul. It is as if Our Lord passes so close to one who He has chosen, touching her heart mysteriously with this word of love: "Come follow Me."'

The "chosen one" who does hear His Voice and responds to it is given a hundredfold in the form of blessings and graces besides the strength to excell in virtue. You may ask "What do the Sisters mean by 'hundredfold'?" To scratch the surface of that powerful and mysterious question, we can only explain it such....in place of possessions - peace and freedom to know ourselves as we truly are, to live and love all with a pure heart and to leap like the deer in the Song of Songs toward our Beloved in security and infinite trust. In place of our earthly home - everlasting life in the Kingdom of God is offered to us. Eternal happiness, eternal joy surrounded by the Angels, Saints, the souls of our relatives and friends and all those whose names we offered prayers and sacrifices for will come to meet us and say "Thank you" for caring about my eternity.
